Gillibrand Pushes Health Force Funding | Local News

ALBANY — As Congress considers another round of federal funding for COVID-19 relief, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, on Wednesday called on congressional leaders to include at least $1 billion for officers community health providers in the next wave of potential COVID-19 aid funding.

Appearing at a video news conference from her office in Washington, D.C., Gillibrand said the funding she is seeking will complement the $3 billion she secured last year under the American Rescue Plan Act to fulfill elements of its legislation – the Health Force, Resilience Force and Jobs Act to Combat COVID-19 (Health Forces).
